IJTEL – Young Researcher Special Issue on: “Ground-breaking Ideas in Technology Enhanced Learning”

IJTEL (International Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning) is interested in supporting young researchers and graduate student members of the TEL community. We want to encourage a debate on innovative ideas, visions, and the future of TEL research, driven by young researchers in the many fields that make up this interdisciplinary research area.

This Young Researcher special issue is designed for all junior researchers (post-graduate students, PhD students, post-docs) working in research related to technology-enhanced learning in both academia and industry.

Authors are especially encouraged to submit a ‘visionary’ article, i.e. one that describes fresh ideas, motivations, impacts and efficiencies or ideal outcomes of research and argues why they are important.

Editors and Notes

All articles submitted for this special issue of the International Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning (IJTEL) will be subject to a two stage review process. At the first stage, authors should submit a one page abstract to ijtel-special-issue@googlegroups.com. The abstract will be reviewed by the editorial board made up of teams consisting of both novice and experienced reviewers. Both abstracts and reviews will be anonymous and shared for an open discussion on an allocated TEL-Europe group (http://www.teleurope.eu). Abstracts and reviews will only be accessible to members of TEL-Europe.

At second stage All papers must be submitted online. To submit a paper, please go to Online Submissions of Papers. If you experience any problems submitting your paper online, please contactsubmissions@inderscience.com, describing the exact problem you experience. (Please include in your email the title of the Special Issue, the title of the Journal and the name of the Guest Editor).

Additionally, an ideas clinic is offered, prior to the first abstract submission: authors can submit an outline of their contribution capturing the main idea in a brief TELpedia article (http://telpedia.stellarnet.eu/Home). Authors who would like to invite co-authors and submit a joint final paper should indicate that fact when submitting the outline. People interested in collaborating with these proposals as co-authors, can express their interest and leave their contact information in the TELpedia article, so that the proposals’ responsible authors can contact them.

’til then… Keep a sharp eye on it! ;)
